Welcome

Sacrista Prebend is a medium-sized Georgian house offering facilities for retreats, conferences, quiet days, courses and social functions.

The house is set in the heart of Southwell and is very close to Southwell Minster. Nearby are the Diocesan offices at Dunham House and the Minster Centre with extensive library and education facilities.

Sacrista Prebend is set in large natural gardens offering peace and tranquility, and is a member of the quiet garden movement. There is a multitude of trees and shrubs with many places to sit and relax. From time to time, Jonathan Clarke's sculptures depicting the way of the cross are on display in the garden. They provide an excellent opportunity for reflection.

The House is owned by Southwell Cathedral Chapter and leased to the Sacrista Prebend Retreat House. The Directors and Trustees are representatives of Southwell Cathedral Chapter and the Bishop's Council for the diocese of Southwell. A management committee appointed by the trustees is responsible for the running of the House.
